1. The service and these terms
These terms apply to the Tu Voyage web and mobile apps and related APIs (the “Service”). Tu Voyage is a collaboration tool for organizing itineraries, places, stays, bookings, expenses, packing and memories with other travellers.
By completing a profile and accepting, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The Service does not currently support people under 14 or guardian-consent sign-up. Even if you are 14 or older, you may not use the Service if the law where you live does not let you independently enter this contract or provide the required privacy consent.
Use accurate account information and protect your devices and sessions. You may not transfer an account or use another person's account.
3. Travel and third-party information
Maps, places, hours, transit, travel times, weather-related displays and AI suggestions are planning aids. Confirm opening, safety, visa, transport, price and booking details with an official source before relying on them.
Tu Voyage is not a travel agency, booking agent, payment or money-transfer service, insurer, or emergency service. Recording a confirmation code or expense does not itself make a booking, payment, or settlement.
4. Trip rooms and collaboration
Owners and members must manage invitations, permissions and public links carefully. Anyone holding a public share link can see the information shown by that link until it is revoked.
Do not disclose or reuse another member's itinerary, location, photos, booking or expense information against their wishes. Changes to shared records can affect everyone in the room.
5. Your content
You retain rights in the text, photos, files and other content you submit. You grant Tu Voyage a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, transform and display that content only as needed to run the Service and show it to the travellers you choose.
Submit only content you have the right to use. Do not post illegal or harmful content or infringe copyright, publicity, privacy or other rights.
6. Location and photos
Live location is optional per trip room. Consider the people and circumstances before turning it on and turn it off when it is no longer needed. It must not be used for unwanted surveillance, tracking or harm.
Photos may reveal faces, time and precise location. For newly uploaded photos, the service checks the actual format and dimensions and re-encodes a display copy, removing GPS and camera metadata by default; the photo-sharing feature does not provide the original file. Linking a trip stop and including captured coordinates are separate choices, and captured coordinates are stored and shown only when explicitly included. Existing photos may not have the same protection until the separate remediation is completed, so uploaders must consider the wishes of people shown and review the scope of public links.
7. AI itinerary coach
The AI coach provides a read-only review of the supplied itinerary. It may be wrong or incomplete and cannot change the plan. Do not rely on it for health, safety, legal, financial, immigration or border decisions.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not break the law, impersonate others, harass, track without consent, distribute malware, bypass security, exploit vulnerabilities, send abusive automated traffic, or collect or sell Service or user data without permission.
Tu Voyage may restrict content or access, and suspend or close an account for serious violations, when reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users.
Photos, comments and shared pages can be reported for copyright, portrait/publicity rights, privacy, harassment or another reason. A receipt number is issued. The operator reviews context and evidence before temporary restriction, restoration or resolution and records appeals. Report counts alone never trigger automatic permanent deletion.
9. Changes and availability
As a personally operated project, the Service may be maintained, changed or discontinued without notice. Important changes will be announced where practical, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not promised.
Keep your own copy of important travel material. An account data export is available from the account page.
10. Closing an account
Closing an account deletes login identifiers, email, profile, sessions, push tokens, location, friendships, invitations and public links, personal journals, comments, votes and activity, plus photos and booking attachments uploaded by that account. Confirmation codes and free-form booking or ledger notes are erased.
Only amounts, currencies, dates and opaque participant IDs needed to keep shared settlement totals consistent, plus shared booking schedules, remain. File access ends immediately and deletion retries in the background. A legal-retention exception is limited to records covered by a confirmed obligation or actual dispute, for a defined purpose and period with restricted access.
11. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent the law permits, the Service is provided as is. Tu Voyage does not warrant third-party information or user content and is not responsible in place of a provider or traveller for accidents, loss, failed bookings or disputes.
Nothing here excludes liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct or a consumer right that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
12. Law, changes and contact
These Terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable federal laws of Canada, while preserving mandatory consumer and privacy protections where you live.
